With your permission, BuildingFreedom uses Apple's FinanceKit to read transactions and balances from Apple Card, Apple Cash, and Apple Savings — securely, on your device. Every purchase is categorized the moment it happens, balanced against your budget, and reconciled with your statements. You choose which accounts to share and for what time range, and you can revoke access anytime in Settings. Other banks? Import statements (CSV/OFX) or add transactions in three taps.

Which accounts sync automatically?
Apple Card, Apple Cash, and Apple Savings — via Apple's FinanceKit, with your explicit permission, on devices running iOS 18 or later in the United States. For other banks, download a statement (CSV/OFX) and import it in about two minutes, or add purchases with a three-tap quick entry, Siri, or a widget.
Is my financial data safe?
Your data never touches our servers because we don't have any that store user data. It lives on your iPhone, protected by iOS encryption, and syncs through your own iCloud account. See the privacy policy for the complete picture.
Is this financial advice?
No. BuildingFreedom is an educational budgeting tool. It runs the math on your own numbers and explains options in plain English, but it isn't a financial adviser, and for decisions specific to your situation you should consult a licensed professional.
Can I switch from YNAB, Monarch, or Copilot?
Yes. Import your exported CSV and we'll map your categories over. And unlike most apps, exporting out of BuildingFreedom is free, complete, and always available. Your data is yours.
When does it launch?
